Didn’t think I’d have much to say when I started my first blog. It focuses on Alston Court, a subsection of Crowfield Plantation in Goose Creek, SC. I’m new in real estate, and just didn’t think I’d have much to offer in the way of discussion and information about real estate.
However, I’ve gotten a few posts under my belt over there, and I’m seeing a need to branch out. I’m doing research and discovering things that affect more people than just the residents of Alston Court, such as $180K the Magic Number for Goose Creek Real Estate. The experiences I’ve had so far as an agent also relate to more people than just the residents of Alston Court, such as the importance of qualifying a buyer before ratifying a contract. So I’m creating this blog for the whole city of Goose Creek.
It is my intention to invite the people I select as my “real estate team” to participate in this blog. I’m hoping to add a lender first, with an appraiser, an inspector, a pest control person, a real estate attorney, and so on to follow. I will also invite someone to represent the schools in Goose Creek, possibly the government or city council, and anyone else the readers would like to hear from.
My vision is for this blog to be a discussion forum for current and potential residents of Goose Creek. There are examples of other communities and groups doing the same thing. One of them is lakecountyblog.com. As you can see, there are all sorts of community members contributing to that blog. It’s almost like a little online community newspaper. It gives everyone in the community a voice.
I’ve only lived in Goose Creek for 18 months, and I love it. There is a sense of comaraderie among residents. It’s a sleepy but modern little town. There’s a lot going on here. I’m expecting this blog to catch on like wild fire.
